Just Bought A Sig P250 Chambered in .45

Well I went to Academy today and picked up a Sig Sauer P250 chambered for .45ACP and just ordered a Crossbreed Supertuck holster to go with it. Now the gun does not have a hammer per se, you just cock it and it is ready to go. No external safeties kinda like a glock. You just pull the trigger and it goes bang. I will fire her off this Friday. Does anyone have one of these guns? How reliable are they? If you drop it, will it go off? I have dropped my Glock 30SF with no problems. Anyway, to those who have one can you tell me the dos and donts of it? Thanks!

The sub-compact Sig P250 is a nice little pistol.

The Air Marshals right now are using the SIG 229 for onboard carry. I just found out a couple of weeks ago that they are switching to the P250. In .357 SIG though, as before.

So somebody likes it!

I wonder how that subcompact handles. Looks nice. I've been looking for a good compact 9mm or .45 acp

Its about the same length of my Glock 30SF and a LOT narrower! I ordered a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe to go with it as the Minotaur from MTAC doesent make them for this particular model yet and on the glocktalk forum the Cmp-Tac and Crossbreed Supertuck always get the highest reviews...I will be sure and post pics of the set-up when it come in...

I kinda believe I was the first person to post on the gun forum or one of the first. I'm not boasting and my point is, the post was about my P250. At the time, I could hardly believe nobody was interested. Maybe dig it up for my reviews... I put many rounds through mine, but have not shot it in nearly a year and four months. I'm awaiting my permit in Communist New York!!! I can hardly wait....

I love it!

Mine is a 9, but I mostly love anything .357 Sig...

Once I am allowed to get it out of the vault, I will be buying all the calibers available for it...

The gun shoots itself!

Just keep it secured and you won't have any worries!

I have the P250 chambered in 9mm; decent firearm.

The draw is long... about 6lbs and can take some getting used to if used to single action.

FYI, I found that Blazer Brass does not do well with this firearm.

There is a good thread at a Sig P250 owners forum where they compare may of the available ammunition manufacturers through this firearm. Most of them shot low, with the P+ doing the best overall.

I have that Crossbread holster for my P250, very nice CC holster that sits just right at 5 o'clock. I do like the fact that I can still tuck my button-up shirts with that holster, if they are long enough.

I ended up also purchasing a SmartCarry holster that puts the firearm around your crotch, with a Spandex-like strap that goes along the hips. Works well for situations where my shirt doesn't do the tuck I need.

Well I loaded up on Speer Gold Dot hollow point ammo, which of course my Glock loves, will my new Sig eat them up as well? Of course I will shoot 100 through it and see what happens. Is the SIg a gun you have to baby or will it take a beating with periodic cleaning? And yes, the pull of the triggr is WAY different than the Glock.. I am thinking of selling my 30SF with the MTAC holster (right handed) and one extra magazine. Now my 30SF has no problems like the newer ones do/had. Would 500 seem a fair price? The gun is immaculte and about 200 rounds through it and super clean, I will only sale in Texas face to face and and make a bill of sale for covering my ass. PM me if interested. I am in Houston, TX.....PM me if interested!
